In my opinion, people have different perspective regarding how to spend their money. For me, I'd rather save and invest my money for my early retirement, merit making and donation than spend for clothes, cosmetics, expensive meals or travel abroad. I just hope all my friends understand my standing point. I wish to retire early and spend the rest of my life practicing Vipassana to reach nirvana and not to be borned again.

Doing merit is very important for me so when spending money on extra living, I always feel quilty that such amount of money can help other people. I'm not asking my friends to follow my believes but I hope they would understand my standpoint and won't think I'm a stingy kinda person. ;-)
